Working on my portfolio was a fun exercise, and with a little work all my files are valid!
I started out by using the MacFly MacFluid from Projectseven’s QuickDraw MacFly tutorial. I wasn’t in love with the layout, and as you can see it pretty much turned into an exercise in exploring what sort of design patterns I might want to stay away from. In completing the required changes to the template, I did manage to kill three birds with one stone by creating a div and then listing the W3C buttons in it. Overall, it’s a pretty ugly page, but it works and validates, which is most important.
I took the lessons I learned here, and made a portfolio page which I think (and hope you do to) looks much nicer. Both the page and the style sheet validate, which is nice. I’m sure I’ll get some feedback tonight in class, but I’d love if anyone wanted to comment here.
